An autumn tree worked as a floor panel rather than a wall piece — a mosaic rug, designed to be set into a hard floor where a textile rug would otherwise go. Being tiled, it is part of the floor: it does not curl, shift or need taking up to clean.
The turning canopy gives it a warm palette of rust, amber and gold, which suits a stone or timber floor better than a cool design would.

Hand-cut from natural stone or glass tesserae and assembled tile by tile by master artisans, then mounted on a fiber-mesh backing for easy installation. Each piece is unique; slight variation in colour and texture is part of its handmade character.
